Mother’s Day is this Sunday! If you’re scrabbling to make something quick, fun and beautiful then this tutorial is for you! Let’s make mom a pretty for her big day!
This is an easy little thing that you can throw together in about 20 minutes, and the coolest thing is all you need is fabric, and hot glue, oh and scissors.
First cut a circle out of your fabric. Mine was approximately 8 inches.
Start at the base of the spiral, after the circle that you left, and do a fan fold 4 or 5 times. (Like you are folding a fan). Put hot glue on the circle and place the fan on it. Make sure to hold it there until it dries or the folds will come undone.
Fold and glue, fold and glue fold and glue, that is all there really is to this flower. Go all the way around in a complete circle like that. The more times you go around the bigger your flower will be. I went around two times on my pink flower. When you start to glue the folds on the previous layer of folds make sure to place the glue 3/4 way down the ruffles, or your flower will be flat and stiff.
Add some fun pearls or another little flower in the middle, glue a pin on the back, or a clip to the back and mom can pin it to her shirt, her sweater, her purse, bag or you could even make two and she can put them on her shoes. How fun is that?
