Nate and I want to do our best to teach M&M and our future brood simplicity in the midst of excess. I know it won’t always be easy, but we will do our best.

A few years ago while taking a scrapbooking class, a lady shared with me what her family does for Christmas. Each of their children received three gifts. Just like Jesus received three gifts. I remember thinking, this is what we are going to do when we have kids ;)
Fast forward to today… two baby girls later, that’s exactly what we are doing. We started this tradition with Maggie last year, and look forward to celebrating the real reason for the season every year as the sprouts and our fam grows. I imagine it will change as they grow older, but it works for us now. The three gifts from {us} are a want, a need, and a surprise. It keeps things simple, and again puts it in perspective.
Remember what Christmas is really about, and celebrate to the fullest!!!

  1. I know so many friends who are doing the same 3 gift idea. I think it is sooo wonderful, and I wish we had started that when our boys were younger.

  9. That is great! It’s so hard to get caught up in all of the craziness and forget the real meaning behind Christmas.
