And that’s all she wrote folks…

Maybe the Mayans were right? #IkidIkid
I hope that change does occur. We need it. #soonerthanlater

Let’s hope:
For a decrease in the unemployment rate.
That energy prices stop climbing.
That there are fewer people on food stamps and
other government safety net programs.
In stronger leadership abroad.
Our deficit actually goes DOWN.
No more damn stimulus money being forked out.
For fewer government-take-overs of private corporations.
A SOLUTION to Iran’s nukes (Obama said Iran won’t get a nuke while he’s president,
God let’s hope so!).
And please, NO MORE BILLS that we need to PASS in order to know what’s in them! #wtf

What are YOU hopeful for?

With the election one party/person won.
One person #winning, means another losing.
Everyone deals with their loses differently.
Some use social media. #theagony
I’m all for freedom of speech.
As long as it doesn’t impend on someone’s else’s rights.

For the record, I understand people say things they don’t mean in “the heat of the moment”.
That doesn’t really excuse some things that were said last night. #inmyhumbleopinion

Social Media got U.G.L.Y.

Even tho my candidate didn’t win, I am still proud to be an American.
I am proud to live in a country where I have the right to vote how I want.
There’s a reason he won.

God isn’t freaking out.
He knew Obama would win.
There’s a reason.

In Boehner God we trust.
To my fellow Republicans,
we’ve still got the House. #thankGod

  1. You always make me giggle at your hash tag sarcasm and #holla’s LOL! You’re pretty rad!

  2. MY VIEWS EXACTLY. Even though the Republicans did not win, I can be happy knowing that it was just part of God’s plan. And God NEVER makes mistakes. :)

  3. Ha, my thought exactly! And you’re right, God isn’t surprised, and we still have the House. :-) Sums it up pretty well, I think!

  4. It is nice to see a respectful and mature post regarding the results of the election. I was absolutely shocked (and saddened) by some of my “friends'” statuses on Facebook…from both Romney and Obama supporters.
Thank you for taking the high road and stating your optimism rather than everything that could possibly go wrong! I definitely have the same hopes as you!

  5. LOVE this post!

  6. I don’t think the next four years will be different than the last four. It makes us so sad that he was re-elected, but that’s Democracy! I hope they can figure out how to get this economy back on track.

  7. Oh friend. I’m so glad I found your blog through the ipad giveaway. You are a gem. I pray for our national security every day. And if there are going to be more food stamps, I pray for Kettle One drink stamps.

  8. Amen sister! I prayed and prayed about it, and it’s God in charge. Even if I am not thrilled about the guy winning, maybe God prevented something worse from happening. WE never know, but HE always does! Have faith my friends :)

  9. VERY true very true! thanks for the reminder not to get bogged down with this! Following you :)

  10. Oh man, I never even thought of the Mayan thing! Maybe they just meant that America was going to end in 2012? haha

  11. Social media was CRAZY last night. IT was ridiculous what people were saying. I am hopeful for a new future. But to get there we have to work together. :)

  12. I totally thought of the Mayan thing too and jimmy chuckled then told me that whole Mayan calendar thing was debunked by scientists at the beginnning of the year. I’m not sure if this is true though because I’m too lazy to look it up but if it is I’ll be kicking him in the shin because he knows my nuerotic self was {just a little} nervous about the whole thing so if it’s true he withheld info to taunt me….. Anyways, like I said, totally joked about the Mayan thing too ;)

  13. Girl this might be one of your best posts ever. Very well said – thanks for being respectful. :)

  14. Great post! It got ugly…bad… Appreciate your perspective!

  15. Hi There! I am visiting from Follow me Wednesday! You have a cute blog! Have a wonderful rest of the week!

  16. EXACTLY EXACTLY EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Couldn’t agree more my friend!!! Why can’t we be neighbors again????????

  17. Oooooh girl…Social Media is insane with all of this right now! I just keep exiting out of Facebook and Twitter, because the anger and meanness is making me very sad. Everyone needs to remember the big picture and that you can’t change it now. Good post, my dear!

  18. Yes!!!! I love it. Totally agree.

    God isn’t freaking out.
    He knew Obama would win.
    There’s a reason.

    Amen!

  19. Very well stated!!! Love it. :)

  20. Great post! Feel the same way! Thanks for staying classy! Love your blog and have been reading for a while! I wrote about my experience with the election too… http://the-shaw-shack.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-next-4-years.html
