Last Minute Fast & Easy Valentine’s Day Handmade Cards & Art {diy + tutorial}

Hey now friends! We arrived back home yesterday afternoon after an all night flight and a 7+ hour drive home from California. I know some of you will want to punch me in the face when I say this, but seriously I need a vacay after all that traveling. I think an adults only vacay is mandatory after a family one, can I get an amen?

Taking deep breaths today that’s for sure. I apologize if you’re here to link up to Sunday FUNday. I had every intention of posting the party with features, but again that pesky thing called life kicked my plans to the curb. Taking this week to play catch up on everyone who linked up the last couple of weeks. I hope you know I appreciate every single one of you that participates and am looking forward to visiting your spaces!

Today I wanted to share the fun Valentine’s cards M&M made before we left for our vacation. I even framed one for the grandparents. #winning Kai Kai was over when we attempted these so we made his frame-able to take home with him. Taking a cue from this idea I shared a couple weeks ago, we went to work inking up the girl’s thumbs for some easy stress free Valentine card making.

Kai’s is the second picture. As you can see he wrote his own love note over the “I love you” I stamped. Can you tell which heart is Maggie’s and which is Mia’s is the first picture? Love that Mia’s thumbs made hers just a bit shorter. To personalize each card I let the girl’s pick out the patterned paper and let them “write” their love note to each recipient inside each card.

Love how easy this “project” is! The possibilities are endless!

Another fun “hearts” easy diy project we did last year was the beauty below. One side is Maggie’s foot, the other side is Mia’s. I just “stamped” their feet onto cardstock after painting them with acrylic paint. I used a Sharpie to write which foot was whose and the date. I framed it and it hangs in our living room. So fun to see how much their feet have grown in just one year’s time. Another fun, easy, and cheap grandparent’s gift!

Hope these get your love juices flowing, or something like that {wink}.

Hope you’re soaking up love month as much as we are!
