Happy Memorial Day weekend friends! I hope you have lots of fun stuff planned to celebrate Memorial Day—a day that commemorates United States soldiers who died while honoring, serving and fighting for our country.
THANK YOU to all the service men and women who are serving, and who have served for us. We appreciate you and your families for your sacrifice. Cheers to you every.single.day.
Memorial Day weekend also means the splash pads are back open for business, and time is spent with family and friends either there, poolside or at the lake pretty much every day.
I wanted to hop on quick to share an awesome video that rings so much truth in my heart. Sharing to remind you that you are enough, to remind you what’s important and to remind myself to practice what I preach.

It’s easy to say love yourself how you are right now. Easier said than done right? I think it’s easy to forget that our bodies just like our life situations and seasons are always changing, and just like our hearts and minds it has to adapt.
I battle with insecurities often despite my efforts to hush those negative thoughts. Maybe you know the ones I’m talking about.
I can’t believe I let myself get so fat.
I really need to lose weight.
This freakin’ muffin top is killing me.
I wish my arms weren’t so big.
Stretch marks. Enough said.
I want to overcome my insecurities so I can truly instill self worth into our kids, especially our daughters Maggie and Mia. There’s so much pressure for girls to look a certain way. Our society teaches that a certain “look” is what’s right, and I want to arm them with self confidence and self worth that they only need from themselves to battle those pressures.
One way to overcome my insecurities is to practice what I preach, to show them that there’s so much more important things in this life than trying to fit a mold to impress others. A great way is to talk positively about body image and the importance of us keeping our bodies healthy and strong.
So this weekend rock that bathing suit mothers! Go out and don’t let insecurities hold you back from enjoying and making memories with your family. xoxo
