Happy Friday babes! First off THANK YOU so much for all the love, support and prayers for Nate’s unexpected surgery last month. It was almost two months ago, and it seems like a lifetime ago.
He was discharged that same night and has been recovering slowly but surely, even with a few unexpected things that we are still dealing with. Long story short he had complications with his kidney stone surgery, and thank goodness we went through with this second surgery, or else it could’ve been much worse.
We got him well enough to sneak off to San Diego with the kids and my mama for a weekend to play at the beach, play with cousins, and spend the day at Sea World San Diego. Such a great few days! I’ll be sharing more as soon as I get a chance to edit the pictures.
The night we came home from our California trip I found myself super sick. I had unbelievable pain in my chest, I literally thought I was dying you guys. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. Nate called 911 and they sent an ambulance. They hooked me up right in our room and ran tests. Thank God my heart was ok (I thought it was a heart attack!), and they got my stats down at an acceptable level before leaving. The lead paramedic deemed it a severe panic attack. You guys. I’ve never experienced a panic attack in my whole life, and I pray to God I never do again. I literally was begging Nate to wake up the kid’s so I could say goodbye. It was unreal. Again so so so grateful it wasn’t anything worse. I had a follow up appointment with our family doctor a couple weeks ago, and we are just waiting on some more results.
Labor Day Weekend
Maggie and Mia went with Gpa and Gma to visit Uncle Steve and cousins in Miami over Labor Day weekend. They did tons of stuff, which included the beach and the zoo. While they did that we took full advantage of having only one babe. We hit up Home Depot, the mall, the grocery store! It was crazy how smooth it all went with just one babe lol! Lola kept Zeno over night Saturday, so we could have an over night date night at Casablanca. Nate and I went on a double date with Eddie and Deanna, which was an absolute blast! So many laughs! We stayed out way past our bedtime and had to recover by the pool the next day. Staycations are easily becoming one of my favorite ways to spend days off. The Casablanca pool didn’t disappoint! Zeno loved the waterfall.
School is in session
Mia started school! Her first day of school picture is below. It’s mind-blowing that she’s in school! Her preschool isn’t far from our new home, and she’s been loving it so far! Speaking of school Maggie started all day school this year. It’s SO crazy to have her gone all day. We sure miss her, but she’s learning a ton and is having fun! We attended her school carnival, and it was so fun to watch her interact with her friends and classmates.
Jet turned 3 and we celebrated with a party at the splash pad, complete with pinata! Sure do love our mischievous nephew!
How have you been friend? What have you been up to? Feel free to leave links to your blog posts below! We need to catch up! I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA here, especially on documenting our daily lives. I need to make it a priority, because life is just flying by!
Nate started a new job! + I started a new business! Promise more details to come!
